First Aid / CPR / AED Training

Overview

This course provides participants with essential knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to workplace injuries and medical emergencies. Participants will learn how to assess emergency situations, provide first aid treatment for common injuries and illnesses, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) to stabilize victims until professional medical help arrives.

Course Content First Aid / CPR / AED

  • Definition and purpose of first aid, CPR, and AED in emergency situations.
  • Importance of early response in reducing the severity of injury and increasing survival chances.
  • Basic principles of emergency care until professional medical help arrives.
  • Legal and safety considerations when assisting a casualty.
  • Checking the area for danger before approaching the casualty.
  • Assessing responsiveness, breathing, and visible signs of injury or illness.
  • Calling for help and contacting emergency medical services promptly.
  • Prioritizing actions based on the casualty’s condition and the level of risk.
  • Providing first aid for bleeding, wounds, burns, fractures, and shock.
  • Assisting casualties with choking, fainting, or minor medical emergencies.
  • Understanding how to support an unconscious casualty until help arrives.
  • Applying basic first aid measures calmly, safely, and effectively.
  • Purpose of CPR in maintaining blood circulation and oxygen supply.
