Prof. Dr. Akhlaq Hussain Shamsi is a distinguished educationist and institutional leader with over four decades of academic and administrative experience in Pakistan’s higher education sector. He has held several senior leadership positions including Rector of Superior University and Principal of Government College Model Town Lahore.
Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in academic governance, institutional development and educational policy initiatives. He has also served as Patron-in-Chief of leading educational groups and has contributed to numerous academic and advisory committees under the Government of Punjab.
Dr. Shamsi holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of the Punjab and has received several prestigious recognitions including the Presidential Award for outstanding administrative services and the Izaz-e-Fazilat Award.
Prof. Dr. M. Haseeb Hassan is an Assistant Professor at the University of the Punjab’s Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, specializing in electrochemical energy systems. His research focuses on energy storage technologies, electrochemical systems, and advanced materials for sustainable energy solutions.
He holds a joint PhD in Energy Engineering from the Korea Institute of Energy Research and the University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea, along with an MSc in Quality, Safety and Environment from Germany.
Dr. Hassan has published in leading journals, presented at global conferences in Japan, South Korea, the USA, and Germany. For his outstanding contributions, UST honored him with a prestigious Research Excellence Award and an induction into the University Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), UK.
